Planning poker session checklist

Tick through a session while you run it. Nothing here needs a sign-in.

1. Agree the deckFibonacci, t-shirt sizes, or your own set. Say what the top card means before anyone votes.
2. Vote in silenceEach person picks a card without speaking. The point is the first number, not the argument that produces it.
3. Reveal togetherShow every card at once. A round of nodding at the first speaker is not a vote.
4. Talk about the outliersThe high card and the low card explain what they saw. Then vote again if the spread is still wide.
5. Write the result downOne number, plus the reason if the team wants it. The checklist ends here.
